Your GP and the specialists you see – connected to your record when you decide.

Easy sharing
Give a doctor access for a specific visit instead of carrying a folder of papers.
Sound familiar
Your history is scattered. And you retell it every time.
A discharge summary from the hospital, results from the lab, a consultation from three years ago, a photo on your phone. Some of it is in NZIS, some of it exists only on paper.
With every new doctor you gather the folder, explain it all again and hope nothing important is missed. And the doctor spends part of the visit piecing the picture together. Medbook organises all of this once – and keeps it ready.
- Your documents are ordered in time, not stacked in a folder
- Every fact links back to its original document
- Your history builds up and serves the next doctor too
How it works
From documents to a prepared visit in four steps
-
1. Scan or upload
Photograph your documents with your phone or upload a PDF. No need to sort or label them.
-
2. Get a structured record
Diagnoses, medicines and results are arranged in a timeline. Every fact points to its original.
-
3. Share for a visit
Give a specific doctor access for a specific visit. You decide who.
-
4. Your doctor arrives prepared
The specialist sees your organised history before the visit, so the time in the room is spent on you.
Who it's for
One record – for everyone involved in the visit
-
For patients and carers
One lasting record for you or someone you care for. Free and under your control.
For patients -
For specialists
Patients arrive with an organised history linked to its sources. No need to change your software.
For specialists -
For GPs
Receive a professional summary when your patient asks for it, and decide the next step. Free for GPs.
For GPs
For the doctor
Your doctor already knows the story.
Before the visit, the specialist opens a compact summary rather than an archive of files: timeline, active diagnoses, medicines and how test results have changed.
Every key fact links to the document it came from. The doctor reviews it, edits where needed and copies what they need into their own medical software.
- A summary linked to its sources
- Reviewed and edited by the doctor
- Copied into the doctor's own software in one step
- Specialty preparation for nephrology, endocrinology and cardiology – in development
Integrations
Works with what you already use
Medbook doesn't replace NZIS or your doctor's medical software – it works alongside them.
- NZIS – we plan an official integration, so you don't re-upload documents that are already there
- NZIS data will never be charged for
- Superdoc and other calendars – a planned source of booked appointments
- An invitation by link or QR code while there is no calendar integration
- Niset, GMedics, Hippocrates and others – the prepared text is simply copied in
- Doctors keep their software and the way they work
Security
Secure by design
Medbook is being designed so that your medical data is protected from day one.
Encryption and EU hosting
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest and processed in the EU/EEA.
Access only with your permission
A doctor sees your record only when you share it with them for a specific visit.
The original stays unchanged
Every fact is linked to the document it came from, and the document itself is never altered.
Your data doesn't train AI
Medical data on the platform is not used to train AI models.
Medbook does not diagnose
Medbook is in development. The platform organises and presents medical information and does not replace a doctor's assessment.
Clinical AI features for specialists are in development. They will be available only to verified medical professionals and only within the applicable regulatory framework (EU Medical Device Regulation 2017/745). The doctor always reviews the information and makes the decision.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
What is Medbook?
Medbook is a digital platform that brings your scattered medical documents – discharge letters, lab results, consultations, PDFs and photos – together into one structured record, arranged over time.
On top of that record, Medbook prepares the visit: you see your history in plain language, and a doctor you give access to receives a prepared summary that links back to every original document. So you don't have to retell your history to every new doctor.
Can I use Medbook now?
Not yet. Medbook is in development, and at the moment you can't sign up, upload documents or use the platform.
We are starting step by step in the Plovdiv region – first with a small group of doctors in our Design Partner programme, then with early access for patients. If you'd like us to let you know when early access opens in your region, join the early-access list.
Does Medbook replace my doctor, NZIS or medical software?
No. Medbook doesn't replace your doctor – medical assessment and decisions always stay with them.
Nor does Medbook replace NZIS (the Bulgarian National Health Information System) or the software your doctor uses. It works alongside them: we plan for NZIS to be a data source once an official integration is in place, and doctors keep working in their own system, copying the prepared text into it if they choose.
How much will Medbook cost?
Your profile and medical record will be free, with no subscription. NZIS data will never be charged separately. The first 10 pages of external documents will also be processed free of charge.
Only additional actions that involve real processing will be paid – for example processing documents beyond the free allowance, or “Analyse and send to my GP”. You pay only when you choose such an action, and your balance will be shown in euros. Prices will be published before launch.
Who will see my record?
Only you and the doctors you choose to give access to. We are designing sharing so that access is given for a specific visit, with a scope you choose, and ends afterwards.
Sensitive actions will be recorded in an audit log, and support staff will not have automatic access to medical content.
